AMBOY, A group of former Amboy Clipper football players will put on the pads once again when they meet a team from Mendota in the Amboy High School Alumni Football Game on Saturday, Aug. 27 at the AHS field. Game time is 5:30 p.m.

AMBOY, Vying for the title of Miss Amboy 2016 are Sydney Friel and Rayven Wehling. The Miss Amboy Pageant and Little Miss Amboy will take place on Thursday, Aug. 25 on the main stage in the Depot Museum parking lot beginning at 7 p.m. Announcement of Miss Amboy 2016 is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

AMBOY ‑ Zach Becker has embarked on an adventure that will long be remembered as one of the best times in his life. He was elected as the Illinois State FFA Reporter in June and will spend the next year traveling and participating in state FFA events. Which also means putting his college aspirations on hold for a year.

Police to have presence in Amboy school district

AMBOY, Amboy Police will have a presence in the school district again this year.
During its regular meeting on Aug. 15, the Amboy City Council members approved hiring Paul Smith to work 10 hours per week in the school district. The cost for this program is about $8,000 a year.
