Beverly Rose Winter, 70, of Fort Mojave, Ariz., formerly of West Brooklyn, died Jan. 24, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 30 at St. Mary’s Church, West Brooklyn with Rev. Max Lasrado officiating. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Brooklyn. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. on Jan. 29 at St. Mary’s Center, West Brooklyn with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation was also held for one hour prior to services on Jan. 30 at the church.
Pallbearers were Mike, Josh and David Bresson, Sam Souhrada, Steven Hutchinson and Travis Howell.
Mrs. Winter was born Oct. 28, 1939 in Compton to Leo and Agnes (Gillan) Bresson. She married Allen Horner and had four children. She then married Harlan Winter who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Greg (Lea) Horner of Littleton, Colo.; three daughters, Connie (Lyle) LaCroix of Aripeka, Fla., Susan (Tony) Souhrada of Tabor, S.D. and Katherine (Tracey) Adams of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Don (Wanda) Bresson of Ashton and Jim (Kathy) Bresson of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband and one child, Joseph, in infancy.
Mrs. Winter graduated from Ashton High School in 1957 and was an Avon manager from 1973-1981 when she retired due to failing health. She played the accordion and guitar with her band “Bev and her Pals” and also sang and loved all things musical. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church.
