Randall T. Jordan, 61, of Amboy, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in his home.
Graveside services were on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 11 a.m., at the Temperance Hill Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation was on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m., in the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
Mr. Jordan was born March 8, 1948, in East Chicago, Ind., the son of Robert and Madelyn Rose (Moews) Jordan. He married Mary Love on Sept. 9, 1995, in Rockford.
Survivors include his wife of Amboy; three daughters, Canday Jordan of Morrison, Carmen (Anthony) Bollman of Harmon, and Sandra (Eric) Dishman of Peoria; one step son, Randy (fiancé Dina Leyva) Miller of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; one step daughter, Kelly Miller of Dixon; three grandchildren; one sister, Bev (Lloyd) Rinehart of Dixon; and one brother, Charles Jordan of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step father Ernest F Michael, a brother Robert Jordan Jr. and a sister Roberta Jordan.
He had been a police officer in Rock Falls, and was a member of the Whiteside County Task Force. He had also served as the Chief of Police in Amboy. He had been employed as a truck driver for Raynor Garage Doors and Ryder Trucking.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He was a devout and traditional Catholic.
A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
