DIXON - Raymond G. Burian, 85, of Dixon, died June 19, 2012 at Dixon Health Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on June 23 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Dixon with Rev. Michael Morrissey, officiating. Burial was at Widner Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation was from 9-10 a.m. on June 23 at the church. Arrangements were handled by the Jones Funeral Home, Dixon.
Mr. Burian was born Oct. 16, 1926 in Joliet to Bartholome and Rosalie (Tocek) Burian. He married Coralyn J. Rex on Sept. 19, 1953 in Dixon. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2008.
Survivors include one son, Joel (Susan) Burian of Torrington, Wy.; two grandsons, Michael (Danielle) Burian and Thomas Burian, both of Maine; one brother, Richard (Rosemary) Burian of Joliet; and a special friend, Cindy (Rob) Lightner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and seven sisters.
Mr. Burian was a salesman for Marshall Olds and Ken Nelson Auto Plaza prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 690, American Legion Post 12, and Dixon Elks Lodge 779.
A memorial has been established to Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation residents.
