LaMOILLE - Marian E. Bickett, 64, of LaMoille, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Bickett was born on Jan. 1, 1948, in Amboy, the daughter of Jerome and Ruby (Leffelman) McLaughlin. She was united in marriage to John Bickett on Jan. 7, 1967 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Maytown.
Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Maytown with Father Joel Lopez, and Father Richard Kramer co- officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maytown. Rosary was conducted on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., with visitation following from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, and Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Maytown.
Survivors include her husband John Bickett of LaMoille; four sons, Marty (Denise) Bickett of Sublette, Scott A. (Lisa) Bickett of Sublette, Loren (Amy) Bickett of Malden, Brian (Liz) Bickett of Cary; three daughters, Molly (John) Fanning of Peru, Robin (Eric) Lovgren of Princeton, and Melissa (Mike) Struck of Plainfield; 19 grandchildren; father, Jerome McLaughlin of Sublette; son-in-law Charles (Lynne) Nettleton of Bettendorf, Iowa; three brothers, Norman (Jennie) McLaughlin of Rochelle, Tim (Barb) McLaughlin of Rockford, Roger (Kathy) McLaughlin of Yorkville; two sisters, Nadine (Dan) Koch of Rochelle, Monica (Dave)Weeks of LaMoille, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and three daughters, Annette, and infant twins Amy and Angela.
She was a homemaker and also worked at the Bureau County Senior Center until 2000 and currently was employed at the Veterans Home in LaSalle as volunteer co-ordinator.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Maytown, the Altar and Rosary Society and was a CCD teacher at the church.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her family.
A memorial has been established in her memory to LaSalle Veterans Home and Illinois Valley Hospice.
