PRINCETON, The Amboy-LaMoille Lady Clippers' track team took on six other squads in the Howard Monier Invitational on April 10 at Princeton. A-L took third place in the team standings with 96 points. Bureau Valley won with 139 points and Hall was second with 103. Princeton (84), Peoria Christian (54), Kewanee (52) and St. Bede (17) completed the field.

Clippers grab second at Kewanee

KEWANEE, The Amboy-LaMoille boys' track team finished a solid second in a six-team meet at Kewanee on April 8. The Clipper s accumulated 111 points to finish behind only Mendota, which had 197 points. The rest of the participants included Kewanee (104), Ridgewood (91), Galva (34) and Ohio (5).

A-L girls have solid showing at Gooden Invite

MENDOTA, Amboy-LaMoille's track teams participated in the 14-team Don Gooden Invitational on April 12 at Mendota.
In girls' results, the Lady Clippers finished third in the team standings with 75 points. Only Bureau Valley (94) and Byron (84) finished ahead of A-L.

Lady Clippers remember "Paz," top Newman in dramatic fashion

On a night when the Amboy and Sterling Newman softball teams both honored former AHS teacher Mike Pasley, who passed away last month, the Lady Clippers won a dramatic 6-4 decision over the Comets on April 10 at the AHS field.
