The Amboy Clippers saw their basketball season come to a close after a 50-22 loss to Indian Creek in the championship game of the Indian Creek Class 1A Regional on Feb. 26 at Shabbona.

Tyler Behrends led the way for the Clippers with seven points, while Steven Apple supplied five markers.

The Clippers made it to the title game after a 46-38 triumph over Paw Paw on Feb. 24.

Apple pumped in 16 points to pace Amboy, while Behrends chipped in with 10 tallies.

AHS opened the tournament with a convincing 50-27 triumph over Kirkland Hiawatha on Feb. 22.

Behrends led the Clippers’ point parade with 15. Connor Leffelman also hit double digits for Amboy with 13 points.

The Clippers concluded the season with a 3-25 record.
