AHS matmen fall in sectional

OREGON – The competition was fierce as six Amboy Clipper wrestlers competed in the Oregon Class 1A Sectional on Feb. 8-9. A wrestler must finish in the top four in his weight class in order to advance to the state tournament.

AHS sophomore Collin Doege came the closest to making the state tournament as he finished fifth in the 120-pound weight class.

Also competing for the Clippers were Trever Ullrich (126), Christopher Jones (138), Andrew Klein (160), Jackson Sorrells (182) and Ryan Leffelman (195).
