LANSING - Kevin B. Copper, 61, of Lansing, formerly of Mendota, died July 9, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation was at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory, Crown Point, Ind. Arrangements were handled by the Burns Funeral Home, Crown Point, Ind.
Survivors include his wife of five years, Penny; his mother, Dorothy E. Copper of Mendota; four daughters, Elizabeth (Jason) Copper Taylor of Plainfield, Melinda (Tom) Pfeifer and Brenda (Scott) Hipp, both of Winfield, Ind. and Deidra (Milan) Dezelich of Demotte, Ind.; two sons, Matthew (Lana) Copper of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Christopher Copper of Cherry Valley; 10 grandchildren, Tristan, Cameron and Aiden Pfeifer, Cody and Casey Hipp, Milan Jr., Miranda and Mirko Dezelich, and Grant Copper; and two brothers, Craig (Kathy) Copper of Batavia and Daniel D. (Paula) Copper of Beloit, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel C. Copper.
Mr. Copper was a graduate of Mendota High School and the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana Campus. He was an agent for Farmer’s Insurance and previously was an operation and marketing executive in the food industry. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and gardener and he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
