DOWNERS GROVE - Jon Samuel Neel, 58, formally of Amboy and Dixon, passed away Oct. 30, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Jon requested that there be no public funeral services, and his family is respecting his wishes.

He was born Aug. 20, 1954, in Pomona, Calif.

Survivors include his daughters Diana (Neel) Crombie and Lindsay (Neel) Burgess.

He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends.
