Helen F. Tolbert

MORRISON - Helen F. Tolbert, 85, of Morrison, and formerly of Amboy, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the Resthave Home in Morrison.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 11 a.m., in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with Ken Renkes, Director of Congregational Care at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, officiating. Burial followed in Chapel Hill memorial Gardens in Morrison. Visitation was held on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m., until time of service in the funeral home.
Mrs. Tolbert was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Fredonia, Ky., the daughter of Louis E. and Ruth (Bibb) Jones. She married Raymond R. Tolbert in Chester on March 3, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Richard) Fore of Cary, N.C., and Susan (Charles) Vilmont of Clinton, Iowa; five grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Fore, Dr. Ami Harris, Michael Barlow, Jeffrey Barlow, and Thomas Barlow; several step- grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, Spencer Fore, Madeline Fore, Rosemary Fore, Julian Claxton, Elliot Barlow, and Megan Barlow; several step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joann Nelson of Mt. Vernon.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven, and a daughter, Ruth Ann, in infancy; two brothers, James and Charles Jones.
She had been a member of the Central Christian Church in Dixon.
A memorial has been established to the Resthave Home in Morrison.
