MORRISON - The Amboy Lady Clippers traveled to Morrison and came away with a hard-fought 36-33 victory on Jan. 5.
Amboy managed a 10-8 first quarter lead and lengthened the margin to 18-12 at halftime. The Lady Clippers had their biggest advantage after three quarters, 27-19, before Morrison got hot in the fourth frame and closed to within the final three-point tally.
Amboy (9-7) received a double-double from Kaitlyn Liebing with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Brooke Lovgren had 10 points and seven caroms, while Kaitlyn Appleman and Autumn Smith each scored four points and handled five boards. Kennedy Dinges also dropped in four points and dished out five assists, while Tori Welch added a bucket.
AHS will be in action again Saturday, Jan. 12 at Newman.
