AHS girls seeded 2nd; to meet Indian Creek

HINCKLEY – The Amboy Lady Clippers have earned the second seed in the Hinckley-Big Rock Class 1A Girls’ Basketball Regional.

AHS will begin play against Indian Creek on Tuesday, Feb. 5. The other game that evening will pit top-seeded Hinckley-Big Rock against either Paw Paw or Mooseheart. The two winners will advance to the championship game on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

The regional champ will move on to the Oglesby Sectional to play the Varna (Midland) Regional winner at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11. The other sectional contest will feature champions from the Serena and Annawan regionals. Games will be played at Illinois Valley Community College.

Monday, Feb. 4

1 – (4) Paw Paw vs. (5) Mooseheart – 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

2 – (1) Hinckley (H.-Big Rock) vs. Winner Game 1 – 6 p.m.

3 – (2) Amboy vs. (3) Shabbona (Indian Creek) – 8 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Game 4 at 7:30 pm: Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3 – 7:30 p.m.
