SUBLETTE – The Sublette Village Board met on Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Ellice Dinges Center with Trustee Jim Hochstatter absent.
Treasurer Theresa Wilson advised that a CD would be coming due. The board approved renewing it for 30 months.
The Test, Inc., report indicated that one locate had to be done, water testing was completed, and that there are still three water meters that need to be replaced; one at the bank, one at the laundromat, and one at a residence.
Don Dinges, Economic Development Coordinator, reported that most of his time has been spent on the upcoming toy show. All the craft show tables are filled, and dinner tickets are still for sale. He has contacted the Illinois State University again to verify that the solar race car in coming. He also contacted the Illinois State Police again to very that the rollover vehicle is coming.
Dinges has had a call from a tour bus company in Wisconsin that is planning a stop at the toy show on Sunday. The toy show was listed in the Travel Section of Chicago Tribune on March 3, and this has generated a lot of phone calls. He also took toy show flyers to Serena Toy Show and sent some to Polo and Forreston shows.
Dinges got articles together for the show supplement, which is part of the Amboy News, Mendota Reporter, Ashton Gazette, Rochelle News-Leader and the Ogle County Life.
At this point he is making contacts for the fall car show and has contacted Massey Collectors Club regarding 2014 show. He has also had calls about the tractor rides.
