Posted: Tuesday, Apr 2nd, 2013

The children aged 4 and 5 line up waiting for the word “go” to start picking up eggs. Many of the 8-, 9- and 10-year-old participants search for eggs around the park playground equipment.

AMBOY The Amboy Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Amboy Lions Club was held on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the city park. The Lions had “hidden” 70 dozen eggs for the children to find. There were three plastic eggs hidden among the real eggs in each age group, which when found and presented to a Lions Club member, would result in a special prize.

The winners of the special prizes were in the two- and three-year-old group Anthony Sus, Austin McLaughlin, Alyssa Hood; four- and five-year-old group Tucker Tarner, A.J. Fisher, Cayden Smothers; six- and seven-year old group Emma Dinges, Madison Thomas, Tucker McCoy; and eight- nine- and 10-year-old group Kyleigh Donna, Chasity Carroll, Avery Shaw.
