AMBOY – The Amboy-LaMoille Clippers played their first game in eight-man football and pummeled Peoria Heights, 52-0, on Aug. 27 at the AHS field.
Quarterback Tucker Lindenmeyer had a big game for the Clippers as he scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and passed for another. The junior signal-caller picked up 91 yards rushing and connected on two of his four pass attempts for 44 yards.
Other offensive stars for Amboy-LaMoille were senior running back Joe Quest with 60 yards rushing and two touchdowns, and sophomore running back Kye Koch with 45 yards on the ground and a pair two touchdowns.
The Clippers will travel to Milledgeville on Friday, Sept. 3 with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
