AMBOY – Eastland posted a 14-1 victory over Amboy in a Senior Night varsity baseball game for the Clippers on May 20 at Parker Field.
Eastland jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and cruised the rest of the way. The game was stopped after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Amboy scored its lone run in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Ian Eller. Preston Henkel also had a hit for the Clippers.
Henkel was the starting pitcher for Amboy and was tagged with the loss.
