Acting Sublette Village Mayor John Stenzel, pictured left, presents an American flag to new Local Cup & Cake owners Kristy and Jake Dauck. Kristy and Jake took over ownership of the business located inside the Sublette Mall at 100 South Front Street, in Sublette, on July 31. The shop offers a daily special which is posted on the Local Cup & Cake’s Facebook page. Local Cup & Cake is a bakery and coffe shop, that accepts custom orders or cakes, pies, pastries, and sugar-free and gluten free items. Customers can order items for weddings, events and holidays parties from Local Cup & Cake. Kristy is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu with a degree in Pâtisserie and Baking. After graduation, she interned at Giovanni’s in Rockford as a pastry assistant. Most recently, she worked as the head dietary manager and prior to that as a head chef and kitchen manager. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. - noon, Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. - noon, Saturday and Sunday, and closed on Monday. For more information, call 815-994-1044 or email localcupncake@gmail.com
