Bill Kirchhofer passed away on December 24, 2023.  He requested not to have an immediate funeral, but wanted to simply have his ashen remains buried next to his wife, Ann, in the Ashton Cemetery at a time most convenient for his family.

SUGAR HILL, Ga. — Ruth Ann Payne, of Sugar Hill, Ga., and formerly a resident of Schaumburg, IL for many years, passed away Feb. 27, 2024, after a long illness.

AMBOY — Mary Alice Hardy, 79, of Amboy, passed away on Feb. 13, 2024, after facing complications from post-polio syndrome, alongside other health issues. She was born on May 23, 1944, in Dixon, the beloved daughter of Alvin Donald and Margaret (Cooper) Ortgiesen.

DEKALB — Sarah Hinrichs, 92, of DeKalb, formerly of Amboy passed away on Feb. 1, 2024 at the home of her daughter in Dekalb.

GLENDALE, Az. — Larry Glenn Hawes, a steadfast pillar of the community and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2024, at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona.

Marie Miles passed away early morning on January 4, 2024, surrounded by her four children and embraced by her loving husband.
